Truth of the MatterFrostbitten kisses stretched over bare, bloody nerves

Evil, Beautiful, FirefliesI'm covered in fireflies;
All up and down my legs.
They sleep in my skin
And hide my sin,

They ignite my body
And set it ablaze.
They turn all of my pain
Into a crimson haze,

In a criss-cross mesh

Painfully,

Two RoadsTwo roads set in front of me,
One deciding who I will be,
And the other feeding the demon.
Slowly I head towards my future,
But suddenly before I know it I turn,
To the hell deep down I know I've deserve.
With every breathe I have taken I have earned,
The future years of pain,
That will be just the same,
As right now.
No scream or sound,
Will leave my mouth.
From here all is set south.

To my Perception

Could such be real as this,
The four limbed flower,
With soul and potential,
Before me now with arms open?

Do these tired eyes,
Weary from the bags
That they carry without end,
Deceive by this blessing?

This oasis of a woman,
Who bears the love of Heaven,
Giving to me, it by a single kiss...
To my perception, I am awake...

I am awake and alive,
In the arms of this heart and soul.
Beneath the wings of grace,
Undeserved to a single bit of this.

She is real, to my perspective...
She is love, to my perception...
I am whole...
I am happy...

SadnessPeople always ask me,
Why I’m always sad.
They don’t let me be,
And it really makes me mad.

It’s really hard,
Because I don’t have a reply.
I have no cue cards,
I have no reason why.

I just guess
I’m naturally gloomy.
It’s something I can’t supress,
So go ahead! Sue me!

They force me to rue,
As if it’s a major crime.
What do you expect me to do?
Pay a fine?

All these foolish women and men,
Ban you to portray
Someone needs to tell them
That being sad is okay.

You are allowed to feel sad
Despite what others say,
It’s nothing bad,
Just do things your own way.

The clockwork world enveloped her decaying body with showers made of elegance.

because I'm a girl I'm Ignored.
I'm pushed out of the way.
I'm hidden in the shadows,
told 'do what I say'.

Because I'm a girl I have to follow a standard.
I have to go on a certain path.
But I will not have it.
look at me, do the math.

Because I'm a girl I'm expected to be sweet and bright,
yet I am not.
I am as dark as night.
always.

Because I'm a girl I am underestimated.
Taken for something else.
But I am me.
This is who I will always be.

Sometimes I wish I was a boy because life is so much easier for boys going down the same path I am. But then I think about how strong girls are. How independent and strong. How being a girl made me how I am.

And sometimes, IT IS hard to be a boy. My case to be specific.
